Fiber optic sensor of mechanical vibrations

Sensor system for centralized supervision of complex and large objects based on the principle of distributed sensing of mechanical vibrations using sophisticated methods of detection, localization and identification to monitor the development of events in the monitored zone in real time.

A large object can be, for example, industrial enterprises, objects of the energy distribution network (substations, lines, power plants), extensive pipeline systems for the transport of media (gas, oil, water, etc.), transport infrastructure (railways, roads).

The distributed sensor is a standard single-mode telecommunications optical fiber. The system is able to detect events along the fiber up to a distance of 200 km.
